Shophouse (ruko) ground floors take motorbikes at the door, stock trolleys and constant mopping. We use through-body porcelain rated for commercial traffic, anti-slip tile at the entrance where rain blows in, and grout in a mid colour that does not show every footprint. Long shop floors get movement joints so heat through the open front does not tent the tiles, and where damp rises through a low ground-floor slab we deal with the base before tiling.
